We love the Festival of Trees! We went on a Tuesday evening when you can view the trees in the low lights. It was just gorgeous. Our favorite was the LS Ayres tree. I also loved the DAR tree. Every year it is a new spectacular experience!
Great place to spend time in with a lot of history to learn from... and during the holiday season (November, December 2023), a 78 Christmas Trees to see... 🎄😄 …
Wonderful exhibits covering many Indiana topics (basketball), and individuals (Cole Porter, Eva Kor, Chuck Taylor). We were there for the Christmas tree exhibit, but will return to explore more of the treasures of the Historical Society.
Festival of Trees is a wonderful exhibit! We visit every year & have lunch in the Stardust Cafe.
We went for the Christmas tree exhibit, which was pretty. There were quite a few people there enjoying the trees and the "find the pickle" challenge. We also stayed for lunch which was tasty and did a little shopping in the gift shop which was fun. Its location makes it easy to access the canal to walk through the museum areas downtown.
Awesome Christmas Tree display this year!!
Chuck Taylor display was very well done!!
Festival of Trees is always a good time. Lots of fun and interesting trees. The building is beautiful with that grand staircase plus, of course, the big tree.
Great museum!
We visited this museum during museum day in September when it was free admission .
The staff is present all around the museum and was friendly and helpful.
The exhibition was interesting and interactive! It kept my 10YO daughter engaged in each part.
The whole building is spacious and have a nice ambiance with classical music playing .
We were able to grab a quick and affordable lunch in the café at the lower level and eat on the patio with view on the canal and that was nice .
